On September 29th and 30th, at Georgetown University, Providence hosted a groundbreaking two-day conference exploring historic Christian intelligence about God’s purpose for government and its moral obligation to provide for peace characterized by security and public order. Leading scholars and practitioners of political theology, military ethics, and national security gathered together for an intellectually rigorous marathon of lectures on Just War teaching, nuclear weapons, Reinhold Niebuhr, Christian Realism, nationalism, international human rights, American Exceptionalism, torture, terrorism, and much more.
