Stephen D. Perry serves as interim dean of the Robertson School of Government at Regent University. He earned his PhD in mass communication in 1995 from the University of Alabama. His research has examined media’s effect on public opinion, disaster warning dissemination, Antarctic exploration, and NASA’s use of video technology. His most recent book is Pro Football and the Proliferation of Protest: Anthem Posture in a Divided America (2019). His current book project details the CBS broadcasts from the Antarctic during the second Byrd expedition. He can be reached at [email protected].
