Just days after the recording of our conversation, in December 2022, Azerbaijan imposed an illegal blockade on the Lachin Corridor, a critical lifeline which sustains the Armenian Christians in the Republic of Artsakh (also known as Nagorno-Karabakh). Azerbaijan has since expelled all 120,000 Christian Armenians from Artsakh through military force.
