Join Providence in conversation on 20 years since 9/11 with Just War scholar Marc LiVecche of Providence, Victoria “Torie” Clarke, who was Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs under Donald Rumsfeld and was in the Pentagon’s Command Center when the building was struck, and Lt. Col. Joseph Chapa, a senior pilot and expert on Just War and autonomous weapons.
They will discuss their experiences leading and fighting the combat operations over the last twenty years, the role that 9/11 has played in their professional and personal lives, and provide their moral and spiritual reflections.
A reception with refreshments and light snacks will begin at 5:15, with the conversation following at 6:15.
