William Inboden directs the Clements Center for National Security at the University of Texas in Austin and served on the National Security Council staff under President George W. Bush. He’s co-authored an upcoming article for Providence in which he defends nuclear deterrence against a growing chorus of Christian critics demanding a nuclear free world. Here I interview him about the Christian Just War tradition, nuclear weapons, trends towards pacifism, Reinhold Niebuhr, Paul Ramsey and other weighty topics. Inboden is a sharp strategic thinker with theological heft. Enjoy our talk!
